Vernal Bluet - Agrion vernale??
|Typical Flight Period:
||unknown     (records: Aug 24)
We have insufficient data for NB to determine a flight period; however, it has been recorded as early as mid May in Maine
|This species was only recently found in NB and there is still very little data
for the province.   It was previously considered a subspecies of Northern
Bluet (Enallagma annexum formerly Enallagma cyathigerum) and the
2 species can only be identified by carefull examination of the cerci (I believe
a microscope is required to see the difference between the shape of the cerci).
